THIRD EYE is honored to announce the first
Gerry Lopez Goggles Signature Series for the Ocean/Water experience.
Gerry Lopez grew up in the waters off Waikiki just as surfing’s legendary Alii’s before him.
After nurturing a poetic and intimate relationship with the world’s most famous wave, The PIPELINE, he set his sights on distant horizons for waves yet to be ridden in places little known; the frontiers of Indonesia.
Along with these new found reefs, edged within equatorial jungles, it became obvious the extreme elements of nature were something that had to be dealt with.
Since this time in the early seventies, Gerry has sought the perfect eye protection from the glare of the harsh Indonesian sun and has never stopped his quest until now.

. . .the reef he made famous during his early pilgrimages became what Gerry has referred to as his ‘monastery.’ It also served as the testing grounds for all types of eye protection devices he collected on his travels, allowing him to stay in the water for hours at a time while others retreated into the jungle shelter from the harsh unforgiving sun.
Forty years on, Gerry has put his knowledge, experience and inspiration to co-design the THIRD EYE Ocean/Swim Goggle Series, named after the reef he made famous in a place most could not possibly find on a map. . .G-LAND.
We at THIRD EYE are proud to name the premier goggle of this series, THE MYSTIC, after the Eternal Waterman, Gerry Lopez himself.
Designed with the harsh Indo sun in mind, there are three styles to fit different faces, offering a choice for everyone to have their own Ocean experience.
From his early days as the Master at the PIPELINE, to jungle wave savant and now riding the slopes and rivers of the pacific Northwest, Gerry has continued his path to flow upon natures elements.
